Meditation offers a welcoming pause to reconnect with yourself. By focusing your attention on breath, sound, or sensation, you create space for the body and mind to settle, allowing your body to restore itself. In just a few minutes, you can shift from scattered to centered.
The ripple effects are powerful:
Meditation lowers blood pressure and reduces stress. It boosts the immune system, helps control pain, and can be used to stabilize one’s weight. It has been shown to have an overall mellowing effect on our minds and bodies, and at the same time it increases our alertness.
With meditation, you can reach a balanced state of mind and body that produces a deeply relaxed feeling, while increasing your alertness at the same time.
Many of the benefits are less tangible, as meditation enhances creativity, slows down the aging process, and induces deep sleep and peace of mind.Â

I lost my ability to read while undergoing treatments for cancer, and here I was, creating a blog for those who were also bedridden, hoping my words would raise their vibration rather than wallow in the heaviness cancer can bring.
Years later, I realized the heartbreak of someone else I was trying to help, not being able to read either. So I taught myself how to podcast.
It was years after that before I wrote anything new with the intention to first narrate everything I’d already written.
And now, here I am, sharing interviews with others who also tell their stories, their journeys, and their alternative healing methods, complementary to Western medicine.
Wellness always at the heart of it all, and keeping it easy.
